A light chestnut in colour which puts it into the 'brown beer' category. As far as flavour goes, it tends rather more towards the malt than the hops, though there is a pleasing hop taste right at the finish. The aroma is light and pleasant.
A single hop I.P.A. Apricot and citrus flavours, made with Old English Ernest hops.
A highly-hopped classic session bitter. The predominant hops are East Kent Goldings which give a Seville Orange marmalade flavour. As well as Pale Ale malt, Hoppit also contains dark Invert Sugar which gives the beer its trademark smooth taste.
Citra Quad is a quadruple-hopped session IPA which honours that juiciest and most tropical hop - Citra. Abundantly hopped with Citra over four stages of the brewing process, this 4.4% beer packs a punch of intense flavours and aromas that will be sure to get your mouth watering.
A Pale ale, brewed using Lager malt and Vienna malt, Chinook and Summit American hops. With a fruit gums aroma and on the palate a complex bittersweet mixture of malt, hops and bitter fruit, satisfying and clean tasting. Well balanced with a long, hoppy finish.
A traditional English bitter brewed using water from the Hampshire chalk hills. Full and clean tasting, initially malty then tangerine fruit and resinous hop build to a quenching bitter finish. Camra Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2008.
Easy drinking but with bags of taste, England’s Glory has strong robust malty tones with slight citrus hints - often described as ‘caramel orange’.
A light straw colour with a subtle twist of citrus hop. A very refreshing beer with a perfect clean finish.
A strong traditional ale, uses a blend of Thomas Faucett Golden Promise Pale Ale, Crisp Pale Wheat, and Crisp Black Malts, Celeia and East Kent Goldings Hop Pellets and Lallemand Nottingham Yeast.
A perfect mid-strength, mahogany coloured Best Bitter. Soft fruit and citrus flavours and aromas come from American hops, with a firm bitterness following. An easy-drinking, refreshing ale.
The award winning Lamplight Porter is the strongest of our core beers. It's made in the style of the London Porters of the 19th century with plenty of brown malt adding complexity of flavour. Chocolate and coffee flavours come through together with a robust bitterness from English hops.

Premium golden craft ale. Fortyniner, is bright and full of rich flavours to satisfy the most refined palate.
A unique blend of some of Hampshire’s finest low colour and lightly caramelised malted barley with a selection of British and North American hops. With notes of grassy pine and citrus with a lingering aftertaste, this classic “Golden Ale” has a good level of bitterness and flavour to balance the gravity.
Lyde pale is a light golden pale ale with a clean taste and tropical aroma. Using a combination of Styrian Dragon and Tiger hops we have created a light pale ale which brings complex tropical aromas and a refreshing burst of fruitiness.
A graceful golden beer brewed with Amarillo, First Gold and Challenger hops from the UK and USA. We use three malts; English Maris Otter, German Munich and the favourite, Belgian Biscuit which gives this beer it’s wonderful toasty finish and beautiful golden hue. This beer brings a wonderful balance of sweet floral notes and a subtle orange finish making it our favourite session beer.
A pale, golden quaffing ale with excellent flavours for its strength. Pleasingly hoppy throughout without being aggressive and also possessing of a fine aroma. The finish is dry with a small twist of sweetness at the end. If you feel that this is all rather pretentious then it can best be described as a bloody nice pint!
English Fuggles impart a dry, herby bitterness which is balanced by the distinctly biscuity flavour of Crystal and Amber malts.
